album: Spiral Staircase (1969) YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4rX4qJ2Te8 [Intro] [Verse 1] Little Miss Muffet sat on her tuffet, Eating her curds and her whey. Along came a spider and sat down beside her, And frightened Miss Muffet away. [Bridge 1] Oh, oh, what a shame. Oh, oh, who do you blame ? [Verse 2] The spider soon - finished his web, And the rain came down, and hung it with diamonds. And a bird flew along, with the stroke of his wing, Broke the web, he ate the spider. [Bridge 2] Oh, oh, what a shame. Oh, what a waste of the rain [Verse 3] The bird flew up high into the sky, And the sun lit the tips of his wet wings with fire. And a man with a gun shot him down to the ground, And went home and sang in the choir. [Outro] / / /
